What this tool does

How to use subtitle translator

Translate an existing SRT or VTT file by uploading it or pasting its contents. Choose a target language to translate the subtitle text while retaining the original timing lines.

Translation does not retime the captions

Translated sentences can be longer than the original. Keeping the timing does not guarantee enough reading time or suitable line breaks. Review the exported subtitle file in your editor before publishing.

  • Use ordinary SRT or VTT cues. Advanced WebVTT styling, notes and regions need separate review.
  • This tool translates text; it does not dub the video or generate new subtitles from its audio.
