How to use subtitle generator

Generate an SRT or VTT subtitle file from speech in a local audio or video recording. Choose the output format, start transcription and review the generated captions before downloading.

Choose a subtitle file for your player

The result is a separate timed text file, not captions burned into the video image. Timing follows the recognized speech segments and needs review against the recording; line lengths and cue boundaries may need adjustment for your player or editor.

  • Use SRT or VTT according to the import format supported by your player or editor.
  • Check the words and timestamps against the recording; correct cue boundaries in a subtitle editor when needed.
  • Import the downloaded file alongside the source media and test playback. Use the subtitle translator separately when you need another language.
