Handling a large WAV recording
An uncompressed WAV can be much larger than an MP3 of the same duration. Check your current plan's duration limit before sending it. A WAV containing only music or silence has no spoken content to transcribe.
- Keep the original WAV so you can review the transcript against the source.
- If the file is too large, export a shorter excerpt in your audio editor rather than just renaming it.
- Do not convert a poor MP3 to WAV expecting better recognition; the conversion cannot recreate missing audio detail.
