How to transcribe WhatsApp audio to text

On Android, share a WhatsApp voice message directly with Gyuret Notes. The audio is prepared on the note screen, and you decide when to start transcription.

Android step by step

From WhatsApp to the note screen

This flow is for people who already have the Gyuret Notes app installed on Android. Button names and positions may vary by WhatsApp version and device.

Share the audio

In WhatsApp, open the options for the chosen voice message and tap Share.

Choose Gyuret Notes

Select Gyuret Notes from the app list. Android sends only that audio file to the app.

Confirm and transcribe

The file appears prepared on the note screen. Check the audio, start transcription, and review important names or terms.

Using a browser?Save the file and use the general audio-to-text tool. This is a separate manual flow from Android sharing.

What the app receives

Only the audio you choose to share

Gyuret Notes does not enter your WhatsApp account, read conversations, or access contacts. Android gives the app only the audio file you chose to share. Transcription does not start by itself: the file is prepared first for you to review.

Does this feature work in the web app?

Direct sharing from WhatsApp to Gyuret Notes is an Android app feature. In a browser, you can save the audio and upload it manually with the general audio-to-text tool.

Does Gyuret Notes access my WhatsApp account?

No. On Android, you choose a voice message and use the Share action. Gyuret Notes receives only the selected file; it does not access your account, conversations, or contacts.

Does transcription start automatically?

No. The app prepares the shared audio on the note screen. You review the file and decide when to start transcription.

Can Gyuret Notes process OGG or Opus audio?

Processing has been validated with an OGG file using the Opus codec, a common format for voice messages. The result depends on the file being readable and the speech being audible.

Can WhatsApp already transcribe voice messages?
